New members in Year 2!
Yesterday was a very exciting day in Year 2 as we finally (after much eager anticipation) received our delivery from the 'Living Eggs' programme. 'Living Eggs' is a scheme that allows children to monitor chicks from their time in their eggs and incubator to when they hatch. We are so pleased our eggs are here!

Year 2 have Fun at the Farm!
On Wednesday the 2nd of July Year 2 accompanied by Miss Heal, Mrs Crawley, Mrs Daly, Mrs Hearne, Miss Gray and Jonathan Burn all travelled to Whitehouse farm in Northumberland. We had an excellent day and saw lots of lovely animals, we fed them, petted them and even held some of them! The weather was kind to us and everyone enjoyed themselves!

Magnificent Multi - Skills
Year 2 (and Alfie from Year 1!) took part in a multi skills activity day at Cardinal Hume school this afternoon and had a wonderful time! We took three teams of 10 with us and took part in lots of activities that showed off our various skills in P.E.

Sensational singing at the Singalong!
As mentioned on the website earlier last week, Years 2 & 3 had been invited to attend a 'Singalong morning' at the Dryden centre, organised by Mrs Porter and the music service.
There were 4 other schools involved and a great time was had by all!

Sensational Singing!
This coming Friday, Year 2 and 3 are involved with a Sing - Along day at the Dryden Centre with lots of other schools from Gateshead. This year's theme is songs from home and abroad and we have been practising lots in school to be ready for the day.

Year 2 go travelling with Barnaby Bear.
Year 2 are travelling the world this term with Barnaby Bear! Barnaby is a bear who enjoys travelling and visiting different places. So far, we have read stories about him travelling to Australia and found out about all of the exciting things that he did whilst he was there.
We then thought about what he'd need to take with him when he travelled and packed a suitcase for him, after that, we wrote a postcard from him telling everybody all about what he had been doing.
