Mission Statement

At the heart of the school is our Mission Statement. It is the foundation that supports all that we do

At St Peter’s Jesus is our role model. We embrace love, respect and acceptance of others in a spirit of mutual understanding. Our aim is to provide a safe, welcoming and caring community nurturing the growth of every individual, spiritually, socially, morally and academically in an environment founded on Catholic beliefs. We recognise the God given uniqueness and wonder of everyone and seek to achieve our full potential through the commitment of all.

Cardinal Hume Cluster - Extended Schools

What is an Extended School?
Extended schools are schools that provide a range of services and activites often beyond the school day to help meet the needs of their pupils, families and the wider community. By 2010, as part of the Every Child Matters agenda, all schools are to offer access to the core offer of extended schools.

What are Extended Schools Clusters?
Within Gateshead, extended services are being developed in "clusters" made up of a group of primary schools and one secondary school. The clusters are named after the secondary school in that cluster. Special schools are also included in their geographical areas.
St Peter’s is in the Cardinal Hume Cluster.
