GIFT AID

Making Your Donations Go 28% Further

As a supporter of Friends of St Peters VA Primary school PTA charity no 1117918, you will know how hard we work to ensure that every penny we raise goes as far as it can for our children and their school.  Through Gift Aid and Transitional Relief, you can help us make your donations go 28% further and it won't cost you a penny!

How does it work?

So long as you are a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid enables you to boost the value of your donations by 28p for every £1 you give (25p in Gift Aid and a further 3p in Transitional Relief) to your favourite charity.  So, for example, if you decide to give £1 to Friends of St Peters VA Primary school PTA charity no 1117918, we will be able to reclaim an extra £0.28 from HM Revenue & Customs.  It might not sound like a lot, but every penny really does count!  What is more, if you are a higher rate taxpayer, you are entitled to claim tax relief on your donations, enabling you to reclaim as much as 25p from every £1 donated to charity.

What do you need to do?

To donate through Gift Aid, all you need to do is complete a simple declaration (orally or in writing) confirming that you are a taxpayer and that you are happy for us to claim tax relief on your donation.  Just one declaration can apply to all donations that you have made to us over the past 6 years and to any forthcoming gifts you make, until you notify them otherwise.  It is that simple.

Please either complete the attached gift aid declaration form and hand in to the office and this will be held at the school.

Alternatively Contact Heather Scott or Viv Frazer to find out more about Gift Aid today.

Many thanks for your continued support.

FOSP Events

 Hypnotist Evening

'Who's the greatest Hynotist in the world?' was the question on everybody's lips after last night's fabulous event.

'ADAM NIGHT!' was the reply from those very brave volunteers who had been the stars of the show!!

Our very own Mr Price alias 'Adam Night' gave us a show to remember - goldfish, washing machines, a day at the races, summer holidays and best of all appearances from 'Madonna' and 'Robbie Williams' - they certainly did entertain us!

Well Done! 02.10.09 034.jpg

Join in with the St Peter's Band!!  02.10.09 035.jpg

Trees in the park - watch out for the little dog!!

 ...and sleep!   02.10.09 033.jpg

Many thanks to all those who took part because without them there would have been no show at all!

Thank you very much to all those who attended and donated towards this excellent charity which is so important to many people in our school community. This event was really well attended and allowed us to support both the charity and our parents of the new starters who began full time education today!

We raised £57.48 and will be running this event again next year as it was so successful!

Many thanks once again.

Friends of St Peter's - Quiz Night

The Friends of St Peter's organised a family quiz in the school hall. The event was a huge success and great fun. Lots of families attended. Quiz master, Brian Rutledge, pitted his wits against them all but wasn't quite clever enough as the staff came out top again, with the help of Hannah and Abigail. It was a great night so get those thinking caps on ready for the next one.

Friends of St Peter's

yard.jpg

The school has a very active Parent, Teacher and Friends Association, which arrange social
and educational activities throughout the year. All parents are automatically members of the
FOSP, how actively involved they become is up to the individual parent.
The FOSP in conjunction with the school raises a considerable amount of money each year
through its fund raising activities. All monies raised are for the benefit of all the children in
school.

Committee meetings are held regularly in school to discuss future fund raising events.
Events are mainly of a social type for all the family i.e. Christmas Fayre and quizzes etc.
If you would like to suggest any fund raising ideas that could benefit the children the FOSP
would be very pleased to hear from you c/o school.
