We are really enjoying our 'Rotten Romans' topic this term and have been finding out lots of interesting facts about life in Roman times. This week our focus is on the Roman Army and we have been looking at the lives of the soldiers, their uniform, fitness regime and battle tactics! We made Roman shields and became a small century to re-create the famous Roman tortoise or 'testudo' to defend ourselves and our comrades from attack! Will we all survive Roman Army Bootcamp next week???
