Growing up so quick!

128.JPG 015.JPGAfter a brillliant weekend at Eduardo's house, the chicks returned to school on Monday, bigger and full of energy! There was a miracle at home time on Friday before Eduardo's daddy picked them up when one of the eggs that we had thought wouldn't hatch began to crack! A quick decision had to be made for the safety of the chick as it had to travel home in the incubator and it was rolling around whenever the box was picked up. Up step Mrs Lawson who added midwife to her list of skills when she hatched the chick out of the egg! It went home happily in the incubator and made a full recovery at Eduardo's house over the weekend. Many thanks to his family who took such great care of the chicks and had a great time!

In class, children have really enjoyed the experience of the chicks, they have been taking really good care of them, feeding them weetabix and digging for worms! We fed them worms on Wednesday and the chicks had a great time fighting over the juiciest ones! Sadly they have to go back to the farm on Friday unless we find a suitable allotment and a willing carer...any takers?!!!
