Fairtrade Fortnight - Bunting at the Baltic.

Year Five had an exciting afternoon designing and painting Fairtrade cotton at the Baltic Arts Centre.  They had the opportunity to work with the artist in residence, Paul, to help complete an amazing challenge to produce the longest handmade bunting in the world!

On Friday 11th March pupils from Year 4 and 5 represented our school and marched along Gateshead Quayside and over the Millennium Bridge where the bunting was proudly displayed.  What a way to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight!!   We even met the Mayor of Gateshead and had our photo taken with him.
