Electricity circuits - How do they work? Ask Year 2 to find out!

Year 2 have been spending some time developing their speaking and listening skills by explaining to Reception how to build their own circuit to make a bulb light up.

The older children began their explanation by showing their younger counterparts what they needed to use in the creation of their circuits. This really helped all involved to see how much they understood about our recent topic!


The Year 2 children then showed their friends in Reception how to connect the circuit together, taking care to use the right vocabulary so that they would understand.

Once our clever Year 2 children had made their bulb light up, they then supported their younger partners in making their own circuit. Everyone was pleased when the bulb lit up!
