Settling in well

Our new Year 2 class have settled back into school with no problems and have been working very hard, much to the pleasure of their teacher Mrs Toward.

They have began all of their new topics and have already produced work to be proud of. In Science they had a special job to research the most popular fruit that we have in school and collected the information themselves and showed their results in a graph.

We had to ask everyone in our class about their favourite fruit and record our results using a tally. We then used this to make our own block graphs. Apples were the most popular fruit and tomatoes the least.

In P.E. we have been enjoying our Dance topic. So far we have pretended to be cats, putting together several different movements and sequences to make a dance that represented a cat chasing a ball. This week, we have been thinking about balloons and the shapes they make when they are inflated and deflated. We enjoyed playing with the balloons to investigate the movements it makes and have started to form sequences to make a dance for this too!
