Year 2 (and Alfie from Year 1!) took part in a multi skills activity day at Cardinal Hume school this afternoon and had a wonderful time! We took three teams of 10 with us and took part in lots of activities that showed off our various skills in P.E.
We were joined by St. John's from Felling at Cardinal Hume and all worked hard in our teams at different events. Everyone listened as Mrs Pow, a P.E. teacher at Cardinal Hume, explained what we had to do. The events were designed to allow everyone to show off their multi skills, ranging from throwing and catching, skipping, hopping, obstacle courses, slaloms, football, basketball and running.
Look how high Tom jumped! Andrew had a brilliant afternoon!

The obstacle course involved rolling, running, ducking, diving and even sitting down!
There were a few events that we had to show how we could throw and catch. Everyone is keeping their eye on the ball! (Look at Amy's concentration!) Some throwing and catching was individual, others were teams. (Careful now Adam!)

Everyone enjoyed the football slalom, it was tricky but we all managed it, just look at the concentration!
The basketball slalom was funny too!

Our class was split into Red, Blue and Green teams and we moved around the events in a 'round robin' style. Everyone enjoyed the afternoon, showing excellent sportsmansip, teamwork and a wide range of skills.
Well done again Year 2!
Miss Heal & Mrs Crawley.

Great to see the kids having so much fun, I see Tom and Thomas magnetically linked to each other as ever!

It was great to see the children involved in something in a different environment and nice to know that what I'm told at the end of the day is accurate with regards to what they get up to - a great opportunity!
