Prayer Session led by Year 6

This afternoon there was a prayer session held in the school library organised by three year 6 girls, Emily,Shelby and Hannah.

We set up a focal area and covered it in white and purple cloth and put various things on such as a crucifix wrapped in purple ribbon,a purple candle and our lenten promises.

We chose three different prayers to read out loud to the group of children who came.
One of the prayers was about making poverty history, we read this to remind us about the three things we do in lent, pray, fast and give.

We also chose some quiet music to play during the session.

After this some people stayed behind to say their own special prayers for family and friends.
After half term the prayer sessions will continue and hopefully more people will come and join us pray.
